Our Name

We chose our church name to succinctly express our church identity.
Immanuel expresses "God With Us" as the chief desire of our hearts. We want to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever, and His special presence is coveted and guarded in our midst to prevent us from descending into a mere "religious society".
Baptist expresses that we have embraced a revised version of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 as the fullest expression of what the Bible systematically teaches.
Church expresses that we are a family of Christian believers who have formally and publicly covenanted together to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul, and with all our strength.
We are governed by Christ, our Spiritual Head, through His appointed means of the Word of God and our eldership. Our confession and our constitution best describe "those things which are most surely believed among us" and how we apply them to our church family. If you would like a copy of our confession or constitution or if you are interested in joining our church, please contact us.

Our Worship

We firmly believe that God Himself regulates His worship through His Word. Upholding this regulative principle, we defend God’s honor in worship by limiting our means of worship to those expressly prescribed in the Scriptures.
We make special effort to protect our worship from entertainment and distractions. We desire that our worship be God-centered rather than man-centered.
We meet with God in prayer. We teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord. The Bible is read with honor. We endeavor to listen attentively and reverently to the preaching of the Word of God.

Our Sunday School

Believing that the Word of God does exhort the church to be instructed therein, we provide Sunday School instruction every Lord's Day. We are committed to the truth that parents are chiefly responsible for the education of their children, and, therefore , we honor parental oversight of their children's training. As a service to parents, we provide Sunday School classes for different ages. We have classes for adults and children. Parents may accompany children to any class they desire.

Our Lord's Day

We try to set the Lord's Day aside in our behavior. We do this by providing a quiet and reverent atmosphere in the main meeting hall at all times. This helps our brethren prepare their hearts to meet with God in His worship.
We are committed to the blessing of children. We agree with the Scriptures that children are a heritage from the Lord. We have many children in our midst, and we desire that they enter into the Lord's Day as much as possible. We ask that parents keep vigilant oversight of their children when they are not in Sunday School. We provide a nursery during Sunday School and Worship for those who would like some assistance.
If you need any special assistance at any time, please seek out the help of a deacon or usher. We will be happy to try to accommodate your needs.

Our Prayer

Every Wednesday evening we meet for a midweek prayer meeting. This is a time devoted to singing, teaching, reading of letters from other Christian works, and the "thorough business of prayer". We believe that our prayer meetings are the pulse of our church's life.
We maintain a church prayer network for special immediate concerns.

Our Fellowship

We look forward to an annual Family Camp and Feast of Gratitude as well as other special picnics and celebrations throughout the year.
