

Robert was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1967. Growing up in the Edinburgh area of Scotland he began to work in banking and finance after leaving High School in 1984. Sensing a call to Christian ministry Robert entered the Faith Mission Bible College, Edinburgh in 1988. In 1989 he entered into seminary training through the Irish Baptist College and Queen’s University of Belfast from which he graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Divinity degree. Having graduated in 1992, he entered into pastoral ministry and married his wife Elaine. They have now been married for 17 years and have four children. Robert pastored in N. Ireland for eleven and a half years before moving to northern California to take up pastoral responsibilities at Immanuel Baptist Church, Sacramento in January 2004. He presently serves on the governing board of the Midwest Center for Theological Studies in Owensboro, KY and Reformed Baptist Seminary in Easley, SC. Next to serving his Lord and leading his family, Robert still enjoys a game of soccer and coaches in the local SYSL in Sacramento.


Pastor Ernie is a Sacramento native. He was born in Oak Park and later moved to South Sacramento where he attended Luther Burbank High School. Ernie worked in the grocery business for 17+ years before being called into the full-time ministry in Dec of 2002 to help establish the work at IBC. As a Pastor, Ernie is a member of NANC (National Association of Nouthetic Counselors) and is currently responsible for organizing counseling as a ministry of Immanuel. He occasionally teaches the adult Sunday school and in other teaching forums of the church. He has been a member of IBC for over 15 years and is committed to its health and advancement in the local community. Ernie is married to his lovely wife of 20 years and has 7 wonderful children. He and his family currently reside in south Sacramento. Ernie enjoys sports, Bar-B-Q and good music.
