At Immanuel we believe that genuine faith in the gospel should invariably be accompanied by doing good to others. This means not only doing good to one another but also doing good to those outside the church who are in need. As Paul put it in Galatians 6:10, “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

Immanuel hosted its first health fair in 2011. We opened up our church to the community for a day and those of our members who are in the medical profession volunteered to provide some basic medical services to people who came in. Our first attempt was a success and we hope to make these health fairs a regular part of our ongoing efforts to serve the people around us.

Every year around Christmas we participate as a church in the international relief effort called Operation Christmas Child facilitated by Samaritan’s Purse.

Our Sunday school children have been participating for the last couple years in a project we call Change for Change in which the children bring change to their Sunday school classes to be donated to a ministry for orphans in Zambia.
