One of the great needs of any true Christian church is a qualified and faithful leadership. Here at Immanuel we have sought to facilitate the cultivation of leadership in the local church through a modest theological training program we call ‘Basic Training.’ The purpose of this program is to provide a context in which Christians aspiring to leadership in the church can be grounded in the basics of the Christian faith and tested in the context of local church ministry. Immanuel Baptist Church is on the governing board of a distance learning seminary called Reformed Baptist Seminary. This seminary offers full academic degrees for those men who are called to the pastoral ministry and need to get a higher level of theological training.
