Special Events

The members of IBC do a number of things together outside of the regular meetings in order to cultivate deeper relationships and foster mutual encouragement and growth in our Christian lives. Besides the numerous gatherings that occur spontaneously among members, we have a number of fairly established events that we participate in together as a church every year. Most of these events are listed below:

  • Philadelphia Conference of Reformed Theology hosted at IBC in March.
  • Joint worship service with other churches in the region hosted at IBC in May
  • All church Memorial Day picnic in May
  • Men’s backpacking trip in July
  • All church Labor Day Picnic in September
  • ‘Reformation Night’ gathering (movie and pizza) at the church in October
  • ‘Feast of Gratitude’ at the church in November
  • Caroling night in December
  • New Years Eve celebration in December

Besides these annual events which have some additional fellowship events which occur on a more regular basis.

  • On the 3rd Sunday of March, May, and September we have a potluck-style fellowship meal after the morning worship service.
  • On the 2nd Sunday of every month the singles are invited to gather for lunch at the house of a family in the church Information is available for that on the bulletin board or at the church office.
  • On the 1st Sunday of every month we have a time of food and fellowship after the evening worship service.
